Hydraulic Driven Gas Boosters
Hydraulic driven boosters are used at high voltages of over 7kW. The boosters are available in two series, the 100- and 200-series. Both series has single staged double acting and two stage boosters. These boosters are mounted in a lying position. Isolation of the compression chambers from the drive section is provided by three sets of dynamic seals. The intervening two chambers are vented to atmosphere. This design prevents contamination. The design principle is the same as the air driven pumps with a slow reciprocating piston with check valves opening and closing. However an important difference is that there is no switching function installed. HYDMOS constructs hydraulic systems and control systems custom made for these boosters.
Cooling is provided by routing coolant through an individual jacket surrounding the gas barrel. The coolant can be the exhaust hydraulic oil or another fluid.

120 points out the diameter of the hydraulic cylinder (mm)
T stands for two stage
10 is the stroke length (inches)
165 is the diameter of the first stage piston (mm)
50 is the diameter of the second stage piston (mm)
