Single-stage pressure booster for controlled pressure intensification

Pressure booster for air and gas

A single-stage pressure booster is used to increase the pressure of air or gas when the need for pressure increase is clear but not extreme. The solution is based on a proven design and is used in many technical contexts where stable and predictable pressure intensification is important.

HYDMOS Industriteknik supplies single-stage pressure boosters from Haskel, renowned for their reliable construction and long service life.

When a single-stage pressure booster is the right choice

A single-stage pressure booster is a suitable choice when the ratio between inlet and outlet pressure falls within a limited range.

The single-stage solution handles pressure ratios up to approximately 1:25, which covers many common compressed air and gas applications.

Select by pressure ratio

The pressure ratio determines whether a single-stage pressure booster is the right solution. Flow requirements are handled separately through model selection, where solutions with smoother gas delivery can be used when flow demands are higher.

For various flow capacities

Single-acting and double-acting designs

Single-stage pressure boosters are available in both single-acting and double-acting versions. The main difference lies in flow capacity and how pressure builds up over time.

Single-acting pressure boosters pump during one piston stroke and are used where flow requirements are more limited. Double-acting designs pump during both the forward and return strokes, resulting in higher flow and a smoother pressure buildup.

Long service life and low maintenance

Clear separation between drive air and gas

The gas boosters feature a vent seal between the drive section and the pumped air or gas. Should the seal begin to leak, the pumped air or gas is safely vented into the drive section and exhausted through the drive air muffler.

Cooling via exhausted drive air

Cooling is achieved by routing the exhaust drive air through a muffler directed towards the high-pressure section. This provides simple and proven cooling during operation.

For single-stage gas boosters, cooling takes place directly adjacent to the pressure intensification within the same stage.

Separation between drive system and gas

The gas boosters are primarily designed for pumping air, but can also be used for other gases. They must not be used for oxygen.

For each stage, the gas booster can handle an inlet pressure equal to the outlet pressure, providing high flexibility when integrating into existing systems.

Tailored to your needs

Configurations and options

Single-stage gas boosters can be supplied with various modifications, such as options for low drive pressures, external start and stop, and stroke counters. The model code specifies the pump type and boost ratio.

Each gas booster is assigned a unique serial number.
