The gas booster transfers helium into and out of the submarine's Stirling engine system. The trailer is towed by a tractor and connected to the power grid, the submarine, and a gas cylinder pack. The booster is controlled by pressure switches on both the inlet and outlet gas lines. Operating time is monitored via a stroke counter.
